Born In Brooklyn, New York, Dan Started his career as a longshoreman only to later switch to the back-breaking work of advertising. Dan has worked as Creative Director at gobal agencies such as Deutsch and FCB developing work for brands including MTV, DIRECTV, Kelloggs, Walt Disney, Dupont, Taco Bell, Comcast, ESPN, CNN, Cartoon Network, Smokey Bear, and Playstation. In 2010 Dan found himself with a unique opportunity to direct a commercial and was accepted into the Directors Guild of America. Since then Dan has gone on to direct many commercials and short films. His advertising work has been recognized by the Cannes Advertising Festival, The One Show, The Effie Awards, The National Addys, the AICP and has work in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art.
Dan has always been passionate about art and drawn to the power of words and images to tell a story and carry a message — be it painful, joyful, fictional, corporate or authentic. When he was young he approached art as anything he could get away with - and Dan still takes that approach today.
Ever the New Yorker, Dan is under the delusion that the Yankees will be drafting him anytime now. Until then Dan Lives in Manhattan Beach, California with his wife Traci, 16-year old daughter Piper, Lucy the wonder dog and a three-legged cat named Marley.
